Description.FindControl("RepCourseRegistered") perhaps? The control is in the CollapsibleContent control hierarchy, not the page's control heirarchy.

this must be a dumb question, but isn't the collapsiblepanel an extender? if so, does it allow you to define contents?
I'm not sure. I have never written an extender. It just seems that nesting a control inside a collapsable panel would be more straight forward.
